What to Expect at Murphy Family Chiropractic

Since chiropractic care involves a series of visits, with each one building on the ones before, it’s important that our relationship can go the distance. We’ve found that one of the best ways to have successful patient relationships is to explain everything in advance. Our goal is to eliminate every shred of apprehension and make you feel at home.
The more you understand who we are, what we do and why we do it, the better results you’ll enjoy. It’s as simple as that.
So, check us out here. Get to know us. Then, contact us to make an appointment so we can get to know you.
- First Visit. To find out if we can help you, we ask questions and listen.
- Second Visit. We’ll report what we found and answer all your questions.
- Regular Visit. A typical visit will be much shorter, but just as important!
Your First Chiropractic Visit
When you arrive in our office for your initial visit, please check in with our front desk. We will do a little paper fun first before given a short tour of the office and offered complimentary snack and drink. Once your paperwork is complete you will be escorted to our exam room where you will meet Dr. Murphy. A through exam will be completed by Dr. Murphy and depending on his initial exam findings, x-rays of your spine may be needed.
Your initial visit will be the longest time you will spend in the office and even then it may only takes about 25 minutes.
Your Report of Findings Visit

When you come in for your second visit we will have entered your information in our secure computerized patient management system which you will proceed to use as a confidential log in system on this visit and each subsequent visit. One of our friendly and helpful staff members will show you to the report of finding room. At this time, Dr. Murphy will review with you his exam findings and your x-rays. Once all the information is presented Dr. Murphy will gladly answer any questions or concerns you may have regarding your current condition.
Based on your health history, the exam findings and x-ray results, a treatment plan has been prepared specifically for you, which Dr. Murphy feels will benefit you the most. After all questions are answered and everyone is comfortable and in agreement on the treatment plan, you will be given your first gentle chiropractic adjustment.
To conclude your second visit, you will schedule your treatment appointments with our front desk.
A Typical Office Visit
A regular office visit begins when you check into the computerized patient management system. Dr. Murphy will then adjust you and follow up with any exercises that have been prescribed. After that you are done for the day. You can plan on about 15 minutes for regular visits.
